GALCON EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE IN THE U.S. MARKET; LAUNCHES A LINE OF IRRIGATION CONTROLLERS UNDER ITS OWN BRAND >>

Galcon, a leading manufacturer of computerized irrigation controllers and systems for use in home gardens, agriculture, and landscaping, today announced the nationwide rollout of its celebrated irrigation controllers under its own brand in the U.S.

Galcon’s controllers, including the bestselling hose end controllers (9000 series), the battery operated controllers with inline valve (7000 series), and the family of professional battery operated 6000 series, have been sold in the United States for over than 20 years through the DIG brand. The introduction of Galcon’s products, under its own brand in the U.S., supports a larger expansion plan, set to position Galcon’s irrigation products head-to-head with the leading manufacturers in the American market.

As part of this change, Galcon has established Galcon USA, a wholly owned and operated subsidiary, and  has appointed Mr. Roy Levinson as the Managing Director of the new entity. Prior to joining Galcon, Mr.  Levinson held a senior position at Rain Bird Services Corporation, bringing years of management and business development experience in the irrigation industry. Galcon USA will be based on the West Coast, and will have distribution channels throughout the U.S for the DIY, professional landscaping and agriculture markets.

“For over 30 years, Galcon has successfully marketed its brand name products in over 40 countries worldwide. We look forward to introducing the Galcon brand to the US market and to offer our international marketing experience together with Galcon’s superior products to U.S. customers,”  said Sagi Rubin, CEO of Galcon.  “I am very excited that Roy Levinson is joining us for this ride. Under his management we will be able to introduce the Galcon innovative line of products to a wider customer base and achieve greater market share.”
